During Education Week, Year 3 students had the opportunity to enrich their learning by choosing an area of interest to study for the day.
Many students chose to enrich their learning in Science, and discovered more about our chemical and physical world. Students developed their skills in planning and conducting investigations, recording and analysing data, and problem solving.
The Year 3 scientists began their day learning about what happens to cut fruit, and how best to stop apples from turning brown. Next, they explored the density of various liquids in creating bubbling, colourful lava lamps. The highlight of the day came when students put their understanding of gravity and forces to the test in creating their own chain-reaction Rube Goldberg machines.
