How to Enrol for Kindy 2021 at Cammeray Public School

We are now accepting online enrolments for Kindergarten 2021 if your residential address is within our local area.  Please refer to the link below in the "How to Enrol" section to complete the online enrolment form.

To finalise enrolment we will need to see your child's passport or birth certificate, full immunisation record and the equivalent of 100 points of identification, as outlined below, to verify your residential address:

One of the following worth 40 points - Council rates notice; lease agreement for at least 6 months rental or bond receipt; exchanged contract of sale

Any of the following worth 20 points - private rental agreement for at least 6 months rental; centrelink payment statement with residential address

Or any of the following documents (each worth 15 points); electricity, gas, water, phone, internet bills showing the service address; drivers licence or government issued ID showing residential address; home building or contents insurance showing residential address; motor vehicle registration or third party insurance policy showing residential address - all of the above must be less than 3 months old.

Our Enrolments Coordinater will need to verify the above 100 points again with current documents at the end of January 2021, when your child attends their Best Start Interview, prior to the children commencing school.

Our Best Start interviews will be held at the end of January 2021.  Each child will have a one on one 40 minute Best Start interview with one of our teaching staff, prior to commencing Kindergarten. Booking details will be emailed to all families in November.

Kindergarten students will commence school on Tuesday 2 February 2021. We will have a staggered start for the children as follows:

A-F will commence at 9.15am

G-L will commence at 9.30am

M-R will commence at 9.45am

S-Z will commence at 10am.

School will finish at 2.45pm for Kindergarten students for the first two weeks of school, and from week 3 they will finish at 3.15pm in line with all other CPS students.

We look forward to welcoming your family to our school. Should you have any queries, please contact our Enrolments Coordinator - Linda Hosie - directly via email at linda.hosie@det.nsw.edu.au

How to enrol

Contact us when you’re ready to enrol your child in our school. You may need to attend an interview with the principal. There you can discuss any medical conditions or other special circumstances before your child starts school. We may also complete a risk assessment on the enrolment.

For more information, visit primary school enrolment.

The application form must be completed in English. However, a translated application to enrol may help you to fill out the form in English.

Out-of-area enrolments

As outlined in the department’s enrolment policy, our school may accept enrolments from outside our local enrolment area if places are available.

We will assess applications for non-local enrolment on a case-by-case basis.

Temporary visas and international students

For information about eligibility and forms to complete, visit the Temporary Residents Program.

Distance education

Distance education is an equity program for students who are geographically isolated or whose individual circumstances prevent them from regularly attending school. Students must meet one of the conditions in the Distance Education Enrolment Procedures to be eligible to access this program as a full-time student.
