Local enrolment area

Check your address on School Finder to see if it is within our local intake area. Most schools have designated local enrolment areas. Note: local enrolment areas are subject to change.

How to enrol

If you live in our intake area and would like to apply to enrol at our school, start by submitting an online enrolment application. Online enrolment is currently only available for Australian or New Zealand citizens and permanent residents.

If you are not able to apply online or you prefer not to, download the paper application to enrol (PDF 768.4KB) form. Please complete the form in English. A translated application to enrol may help you do this.

Online enrolment can also be used for out-of-area enrolment. Please note that out-of-area enrolment procedures are subject to the department’s enrolment policy.

Enrolment applications are finalised at the school.

For more information, visit primary school enrolment.

Distance education

Distance education is an equity program for students who are geographically isolated or whose individual circumstances prevent them from regularly attending school. Students must meet one of the conditions in the Distance Education Enrolment Procedures to be eligible to access this program as a full-time student.

Kindergarten at Cammeray Public School

We are now accepting online enrolments for Kindergarten 2024 for families with a residential address within our local area.  Please refer to the link below in the "How to Enrol" section to complete the online enrolment form.

To enrol, we will need to receive an email copy of your child's passport or birth certificate, full immunisation record and the equivalent of 100 points of identification, as outlined below, to verify your residential address:

One of the following worth 40 points - Council rates notice; lease agreement for at least 6 months rental or bond receipt; exchanged contract of sale

Any of the following worth 20 points - private rental agreement for at least 6 months rental; Centrelink payment statement with residential address

Or any of the following documents (each worth 15 points); electricity, gas, water, phone, internet bills showing the service address; drivers licence or government issued ID showing residential address; home building or contents insurance showing residential address; motor vehicle registration or third party insurance policy showing residential address - all of the above must be less than 3 months old.

Our Enrolments Coordinator will need to sight original passport/birth certificate and also verify the above 100 points again with current documents, when your child attends their Best Start Interview, prior to the children commencing school.

Our Best Start interviews will be held at the end of January 2024.  Each child will have a one on one 40 minute Best Start interview with one of our teaching staff, prior to commencing Kindergarten. Booking details will be emailed to all families in early December.

Kindergarten students will commence school during the first week of February 2024. We will have a staggered start for the children, which will be confirmed closer to 2024.

School will finish at 2.45pm for Kindergarten students for the first two weeks of school, and from week 3 they will finish at 3.15pm in line with all other CPS students.

We look forward to welcoming your family to our school. Should you have any queries, please contact our Enrolments Coordinator - Maria de Caires - via the school email
