Welcome to the Cammeray Public School Community
Cammeray Public School is located on the lower North Shore of Sydney. We speak about "The Cammeray Way" which is representative of a warm, welcoming and proud school, strongly built on the values of honesty, kindness and shared success that enables us to co-operate and be flexible, achieve excellence, respect one another and engage with learning and life. "Every face has a place," and everyone belongs and is made welcome.
Our dedicated teaching team aim to provide students with an outstanding education, rich with opportunities across all areas of the curriculum. The school prides itself on it's nurturing learning community where all children are valued and encouraged to achieve their best. The culture we create together is built on an understanding that in our learning community, we all want to succeed - be that at teaching, learning, leading, parenting, sport, academics, creative and performing arts and most importantly, in having a sense of purpose and being an active citizen in today's world. Our highly committed and involved community is dedicated to excellence in teaching and the provision of extensive sporting and performing arts opportunities which support students to develop socially, culturally and physically.
Our caring and safe learning environment is characterised by high expectations and positive student wellbeing. Students are empowered to reach their potential and become independent and confident lifelong learners. In addition to the core curriculum, children enjoy success in a rich diversity of experiences including instrumental music, choir, dance, drama, chess, public speaking, debating and a wide variety of sporting activities.
We acknowledge the importance of balancing academic, family, artistic, sporting and cultural and community interests, and we understand the importance of making memories and bringing people together for a shared purpose. We believe that through education, we will provide our students with the knowledge, skills and understandings they need to make a positive difference, to their own lives and to the lives of those around them.
